Well, hello all. It has been awhile, but I've finally began working on gardening stuff. This past weekend I planted my Dahlias in our old dog run. I won't know how well they survived the winter for awhile, but a couple of them were sprouting so that is a good sign. Since I wasn't very organized and didn't start seeds in time, I went and purchased several flowers and vegetable plants from one of our local nurseries called Gulley Greenhouse. You might remember me gushing about their service last year. This gardening business gets rather expensive on the pocketbook...yeesh!
I've planted my standard tomatoes and peppers. My chives returned on their own so no need to replant them. Planted a sweet basil and orange mint. My peppermint from last year had seeded itself over the winter and beginning to sprout so I planted the orange mint along side it. I've still got snapdragons and Calibrachoas to plant in the front of the house. Maybe I'll get to that this afternoon. We've hit 85 degrees already so I'm waiting for it to cool down and my muscles to stop complaining. It's a good thing I took some time off of work because I'd have a hard time concentrating with my long lost muscles screaming at me.
